ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Chemistry started its journey in 2007 offering Programme Courses in Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry extends the teaching of Chemistry subject to undergraduate students under different courses of different departments of the college. The teaching services are consistently extended to the students of B.Sc. Programme Course with Chemistry, B.Sc. Food and Nutrition (H), B.Sc. Mathematics (H). In New Education Policy 2020 based new curriculum (2023 onward) the teaching faculties are also involved in teaching the Value addition Course Environmental Studies to the students of all B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. Honours and Programme courses.

The Department always tries to&nbsp;provide basic and advanced facilities to students.&nbsp;The departmental infrastructure is continuously upgraded with constant monitoring. The faculty members of the department are highly enthusiastic and passionate about teaching as well as other departmental, college and University assignments.&nbsp;Laboratories have been well equipped&nbsp;with instruments of latest models, although there remains scope for further modernization. Our department also encourage the students to participate &nbsp;quiz, seminars, and exhibition to enrich s with newer ideas and modern development in the subject, making them aware of the present day progress in the field of Chemistry. These activities not only make student teacher relationship healthy but it also boost up their confidence. From the beginning, it has been the endeavor of the Department to maintain a&nbsp;close relation with students&nbsp;to ensure their all-round development.
