ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

History department is a fairly new department which was formally started on 20th July, 2017. From 2019 the department offers both Honours and General courses right from its inception. With the passage of time, the department has flourished not only in terms of number of students but also in the performance of academic and extra-curricular activities. The department provides all round academic flexibility as both online and offline modes of teaching are used. Lecture method is followed for teaching students. Regular tutorials, class tests, special lectures on syllabus related topics are being conducted by the department. The department has well equipped with reference books for the regular requirement of students. The college has been arranging smart phones for poor students. The History department also organizes seminars and webinars regularly to enrich the knowledge of students.&nbsp;Fresher&rsquo;s Welcome and Farewell programmes are organized each year by the students of this department. The students also participate in college sports and other extra-curricular activities.
